Project Beauty Team Pittsburgh is open to all current and rising high school girls in any school district. This is a complimentary photoshoot to celebrate your genuine self and beauty. No Makeup. No Filter.
For the 2024 shoot, Laura Cherock Photography is collaborating with Heidi Illiff of Larger Than Life Photography! We are both very excited to work together for such a great cause!
We own the definition of beautiful. Let’s keep it real.
Project Beauty was created in 2017 by a fellow photographer, Thomas Nguyen, with the goal to redefine what true beauty is. The idea was to create portraits that were 100% authentic — no make-up, no retouching — Just you and the lens. Project Beauty has since turned into a movement to empower teen girls with their own authentic image, and their feedback has been incredibly powerful!
So much pressure is constantly in our faces about beauty: Brand, Make-up, Filters, Contouring, Size, Shape, Style…. But who really gets to decide what REAL BEAUTY is? We do. And we must keep it real! I firmly believe in and stand behind this movement to create portraits that are authentic and beautiful. At a time when self-image can be fragile, these true images will empower you with confidence that your beauty comes from your soul.
